From Handwriting to Typing

The keyboard was my pen, and the monitor was my paper. It had been more than a year since I hadn’t touched a pen to write anything on paper. The only time I held it, was to sign in any documents, and of course, a signature isn’t that pretty if taken as handwriting.

I wondered how would my handwriting be if I’d try to write something.

Every now and then, I got the habit of typing, and improvement in typing was speech correction and speed. The speed led me to use my hands faster than the palm that grabbed the pen, which would give horrendous handwriting, as my fingers wouldn’t cooperate so well while writing.

Just to see how my handwriting would be, I tried to write my own name multiple times on a piece of paper.

We do change a lot with time, and so have I, along with the handwriting which had changed too and differed a lot from how it used to be.

Well, how often do we use a pen and paper nowadays, do we have an exact amount of time that we could say?

Writing has totally been replaced by typing either you do it on your phone, tab, laptop, or on your computer. Not to forget the voice typing which just write whatever you speak, unless your words don’t have clarity as understandable by the listening app.

Are these replacements worth it? The use of lead and wood might have shortened to make a pencil or the use of plastics to make a pen and chemicals used as inks, ……..
